FAQ

Answers for the Skeptics.

The questions executives actually ask before applying — answered honestly.

Common Questions

How long does the program take?+

90 days, start to finish. Application to first shipment is typically 7-10 days. Initial labs, physician consult, and protocol start in week one. Mid-program labs at day 45. Final review at day 90.

Is this HRT / TRT?+

Yes — hormone optimization is Averion’s primary therapeutic pillar. For most executives this involves testosterone, thyroid, and related hormones tuned to YOUR individual lab panel. Your physician determines exactly what’s appropriate based on your intake and results. Not everyone will be prescribed TRT specifically.

Do I need to come into an office?+

No. Labs are collected at a LabCorp or Quest near you (walk-in friendly, no appointment needed). Consultations happen via secure video. Medication ships to your door. Zero in-person clinic visits.

How private is this?+

Fully HIPAA-protected. Your data is never shared with or sold to third parties. We don’t run marketing off your health information. Billing is discreet. Medication ships in unmarked packaging.

What if my labs come back fine?+

Then we tell you. Averion only treats where there’s a lab-verified opportunity to optimize. If your markers are already dialed in, we’ll refund your payment and recommend against enrollment. We want to be honest with your time and money.

Does my existing insurance cover this?+

No. The program is cash-pay. That’s intentional — insurance-driven care is oriented around billing codes, not around optimization. We provide itemized receipts if you want to submit to HSA/FSA.

What happens after 90 days?+

Your physician reviews final labs with you and recommends one of three paths: continue with a maintenance protocol at a reduced monthly rate, taper off gradually, or stop entirely. There is NO auto-renewal. You’re always in control.

I’m already on TRT with someone else. Can I transfer?+

Yes. Many of our patients come from other providers. Your physician will review your current regimen and labs, and either continue what’s working or recommend adjustments. There’s no judgment — most executives end up with us because they want physician oversight and data-driven adjustments their previous provider didn’t offer.

What’s the refund policy?+

If your application is accepted and you pay, but later decline to proceed for any reason before labs are drawn: full refund. If labs come back and we determine you’re not a fit for the program: full refund. After protocol is designed and medication ships: pro-rated based on what’s been delivered. We don’t hold anyone’s money hostage.

How much direct access do I actually get to the physician?+

Direct. Message your physician through our secure portal any time during the 90 days. Response is typically within 2-4 business hours and almost always same-day. For anything urgent, the concierge line is available 24/7.

Who actually qualifies?+

The program is designed for executives, founders, and high-output professionals 30-60 located in the U.S. states where Averion Health operates (see footer for the current list). We evaluate every application individually. Not everyone is a fit — if you have certain pre-existing conditions or are on incompatible medications, we’ll tell you honestly before taking payment.

What side effects should I expect?+

Hormone optimization, when done correctly with lab-driven protocols and physician oversight, is generally well-tolerated. Common adjustable effects include elevated hematocrit or estradiol, which your physician monitors and tunes. We explain risks and monitoring thoroughly during your onboarding consultation.
