Answers for the Skeptics.
The questions executives actually ask before applying — answered honestly.
Common Questions
How long does the program take?+
90 days, start to finish. Application to first shipment is typically 7-10 days. Initial labs, physician consult, and protocol start in week one. Mid-program labs at day 45. Final review at day 90.
Is this HRT / TRT?+
Yes — hormone optimization is Averion’s primary therapeutic pillar. For most executives this involves testosterone, thyroid, and related hormones tuned to YOUR individual lab panel. Testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance under the Federal Controlled Substances Act; prescribing decisions are made by an affiliated DEA-registered physician based on individual evaluation and current laboratory results. Not every patient is prescribed TRT specifically.
Do I need to come into an office?+
No. Labs are collected at a LabCorp or Quest near you (walk-in friendly, no appointment needed). Consultations happen via secure video. Medication ships to your door. Zero in-person clinic visits.
How private is this?+
Fully HIPAA-protected. Your data is never shared with or sold to third parties. We don’t run marketing off your health information. Billing is discreet. Medication ships in unmarked packaging.
What if my labs come back fine?+
Then the affiliated physician tells you honestly. Refunds cover the medication + lab portion only; physician consultation fees are earned at the time of service and are not refundable. We’d rather be honest about your fit than place you on something you don’t need.
Does my existing insurance cover this?+
No. The program is cash-pay. That’s intentional — insurance-driven care is oriented around billing codes, not around optimization. We provide itemized receipts if you want to submit to HSA/FSA.
What happens after 90 days?+
Your physician reviews final labs with you and recommends one of three paths: continue with a maintenance protocol at a reduced monthly rate, taper off gradually, or stop entirely. There is NO auto-renewal. You’re always in control.
I’m already on TRT with someone else. Can I transfer?+
Yes. Many of our patients come from other providers. Your physician will review your current regimen and labs, and either continue what’s working or recommend adjustments. There’s no judgment — most executives end up with us because they want physician oversight and data-driven adjustments their previous provider didn’t offer.
What’s the refund policy?+
Refunds are split by what has actually been delivered. (1) Before any consultation has occurred: full refund of the program fee. (2) After the intake consultation but before labs: refund covers the medication + lab portion; consultation fees are earned at the time of service. (3) After medication ships: pro-rated refund of unshipped medication and unrun labs only.
How much direct access do I actually get to the physician?+
Direct. Message your physician through the secure patient portal during the 90-day program. Response times and clinician availability are posted on the portal; for anything urgent or emergent, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
Who actually qualifies?+
The program is designed for executives, founders, and high-output professionals 30-60 located in the United States. Averion Health operates through a network of independent, physician-owned medical practices licensed across all 50 states. We evaluate every application individually. Not everyone is a fit — if you have certain pre-existing conditions or are on incompatible medications, we’ll tell you honestly before taking payment.
What side effects should I expect?+
Hormone optimization, when done correctly with lab-driven protocols and physician oversight, is generally well-tolerated. Common adjustable effects include elevated hematocrit or estradiol, which your physician monitors and tunes. We explain risks and monitoring thoroughly during your onboarding consultation.
